Your child’s first dental visit could look like this…
Big smiles and hopping right into the chair -OR- Holding your hand a little extra tight
Every first visit is different, and every reaction is completely normal. Our goal is simple: move at their pace, build trust, and make it a positive experience from the very beginning.
Tips for parents to help prepare:
✔️ Keep it positive and simple — “They’re going to count your teeth!”
✔️ Avoid sharing scary dental stories
✔️ Choose a morning appointment when possible
✔️ Bring a comfort item if needed
✔️ Stay relaxed — your calm energy helps them feel safe
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends scheduling your child’s first visit by age one, or within 6 months of their first tooth. Starting early helps prevent cavities and builds confidence from the very beginning ✨
Whether it’s all smiles or a little shy at first, we celebrate every brave moment. The first visit isn’t about perfection — it’s about creating a foundation for healthy, happy smiles!
