Applications for Student Government Association (SGA) Sophomore Delegate, and Student Trustee for the 2026 - 2027 academic year will be available starting Friday, February 20 via the Laker Hub and closing on March 20 at 4 p.m. SGA and the Student Trustee represent Lake Land College students in matters like student opinion, student welfare and activities, and college planning and administration. A huge round of applause for two of our Lake Land College Student Government Association members, Jay Bliler and Aubrey Killey, who both were recently named this year's recipients of the IACRAO Leadership and Service Scholarships!

The IACRAO scholarships are for outstanding students to help them as they transfer and continue their academic pursuits. Jay will be transferring to Illinois State University next year to double major in agribusiness and accounting, while Aubrey will be transferring to Western Illinois University to study ag business and communications.

Our student-run newspaper, the Lake Land College Navigator News, was well-represented during the annual Illinois Community College Journalism Association awards ceremony! Several student staff members took home awards, including ones for Best News Column, Best News Story and more!

The Lake Land College Student Life office hosted a successful Toy Drive for the One Stop Community Christmas event! Additionally, Lake Land Student Government Association and Clubs have raised more than $700 in donations! Our boxes and hearts are overflowing! Thank you to all who donated!
