Coffee for a Cause, you say? I say, yes! Had a wonderful morning drinking coffee, catching up with some of my favorite humans, and supporting Anne Grady Services. I say it all the time and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon… the Ohio DD system is full of amazing people who show up for one another and I am here for it!

On Friday, I finished up the 2025 year by speaking with the team at 19Services. “What’s Worth The Work?” We dove into a timeline of Ohio’s I/DD History and looked at how far we’ve come and how far we have to go. Every person working in the field is important and needed. Let’s work together to better support people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Books are open for 2026! Let’s change the world together. ❤️

Last week, I was able to spend 2 days with 2 different groups of supervisors at Open Door Columbus. It was an amazing experience, and we talked a lot about secondary trauma, cultivating trusting relationships, and working through tough situations. I left feeling like I received much more than I was able to give. What quality and caring humans! Feel free to reach out if you are interested in staff trainings like this!

I had a really wonderful time presenting with Amber Clapsaddle at the Ohio Association of County Boards of Developmental Disabilities Convention. Our session, “Changing Needs, Changing Relationships” focused on families and SSAs building relationships and working as a team. I was also excited to catch Jennifer Kucera share her journey in advocacy.
