Sarah is passionate about disability justice and working with teams, systems, and communities to create a better world for people with disabilities and the people around them. With 24 years of experience in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) field, Sarah began her journey as a Direct Support Professional at the age of 18. Sarah has served as the Director of Relationships for GT
Independence as well as Ohio Account Executive for Station MD. Currently, Sarah is the CEO/Owner of Davies Advocacy and Consulting, working with stakeholders of every background to promote greater unity and understanding within the system. Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in liberal studies with a focus on Disability Studies. Additional professional development includes training in Trauma-Informed Care and Social Role Valorization. As an active member of the Ohio Olmstead Task Force and a member of the Ohio Alliance for Directs Support Professionals board of directors, Sarah is dedicated to working with others to make the world a better, more inclusive place for people with disabilities and their families. Sarah lives with her 5 children and their 2 cats in Maumee, Ohio.
