I have a new pancreas! Well, as close as I’ll ever get to one. The Omnipod 5 insulin pump coupled with the Dexcom CGM as closed loop system. No more multiple daily injections. The insulin pump has come a long way since I’ve worn them through the years. Wow! A whole new world! 🌎 🤯

I decided to do the math. After being insulin dependent for 38 years, with an average of 3 shots per day (a conservative estimate), I have taken more than 41,000 insulin shots in my lifetime. That doesn’t include finger sticks. Wow. 💉 ☹️
