Look, you’re not alone! We heard this all the time working with families when getting them started at LifeTime Des Moines back in 2021 & 2022...even now (4yrs AFTER the pandemic).
Those few years were like a never-ending pajama party we didn’t ask for. And if your body decided to add a few extra pounds, hey—that’s just your personal “pandemic souvenir.”
Life went from Netflix binges and snack attacks to “return to normal” at lightning speed. They expected us to just jump back in, squeezing into real clothes like no time had passed. Spoiler: the pandemic pounds? They’re not failures. They’re reminders of what you got through!
Here’s the deal: it’s never too late to start, but always too early to give up. Real, lasting change takes time, so forget those crash diets. Build a lifestyle you enjoy, one small step at a time. Walk the extra block, maybe skip the chips (okay, *half* the chips), and remember—you survived a global shutdown. You’ve got this!
