📌 There seems to be this irrational idea that you need to think completely differently about rehab vs training when working to improve a specific task, job, or sport

🧠 Yes, with rehab there may be more to think about regarding tissue sensitivity, healing times, pain, fear of movement, etc, but the CORE PRINCIPLES of rehab and training are the SAME:

🏋🏻 Push the body at a level that induces it to build more STRENGTH and RESILIENCY (through progressive overload), and do so in a way that is SPECIFIC to the goal that you intend to achieve

💯 The difference is the STARTING POINT

At CrossFit R.D.T., I program very specific warmups for our training everyday based on what we’re doing...

FRONT RACK PREP 💪🏻..
The front rack is the position a barbell is held when doing primarily front squats or cleans...
It requires a significant amount of shoulder flexion and external rotation that can be addressed with the exercises in this video...
1- Foam roll triceps and upper arm.

2- Static stretching, with some added contract/relax.

3- Movement prep with the bar getting into some of that deep range you just stretched out.

4- Time to PR!

🤔Commonly talked about but widely misunderstood is the rotator cuff of the shoulder...
👉It is actually a series of four different muscles that attach the humerus (arm bone) to the scapula (shoulder blade)...
👌These muscles are very important for producing movement of the humerus as well as stabilizing the glenohumeral joint (the main shoulder joint)...
4️⃣These muscles are the Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Subscapularis, and Teres Minor...
😮Rotator cuff tears most commonly occur in the Supraspinatus either traumatically or without warning from degradation...
Have NO FEAR‼️..
In many cases Physical Therapy can get you back to 100% without surgical intervention.
