Comprehend, Inc. We are the provider of behavioral healthcare and developmental services in the Buffalo Trace Region.

No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. There is Discounted/Sliding Fee Scale available based on family size and income. Comprehend is a community mental healthcare provider offering comprehensive behavioral health services including counseling, case management, psychiatric, day treatment and a variety of services for children and adults with behavioral health disorders and addictions. Our staff of fully licensed, professionals provides behavioral health care services in Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment, Mental Health (children and adults), and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Comprehend’s Children’s Services staff offers early intervention services to elementary school children. Studies show that mental health has a complex interactive relationship with their physical health and their ability to succeed in school and in society. We currently provide First Steps for children ages 0 to 3 that have early developmental delays, Dinosaur School for children ages 3 to 8, which teaches young people anger management skills, conflict resolution and a range of positive pro-social behaviors. Comprehend’s Addictions Services provides an Intensive Outpatient Program for individuals as well as an Intensive Outpatient Program for Expectant Mothers who suffer from addiction.

Hello mommas, please join us for our healthy baby workshop coming up! If you or someone you know is expecting, we invite you to join us, located at the Bracken County Public Library, from 12-2PM on October 24th, 2025. The event will feature food and beverages, along with the opportunity to earn exciting goodies and prizes! This event is open to anyone who is pregnant, as well as women up to one year postpartum. You are welcome to bring a support person if needed. Please remember to bring your insurance card, as some paperwork will be required. We look forward to seeing you there! 😊

You are invited to attend the 2025 Caregiver Conference, hosted by the Buffalo Trace Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living in partnership with Hospice of Hope.

This year’s theme is “The Prepared Caregiver”, with a focus on helping caregivers become better informed about the resources available to them and their loved ones. Attendees will hear from a panel of professionals who will share valuable information about local programs and services that support caregiving in the Buffalo Trace region.
