Almost 10,000 Idahoans have sought help for homelessness in the past year. Among them, 3,045 were survivors of domestic violence, 2,614 were children, and 1,018 were veterans. Tens of thousands of others struggle to afford suitable housing for their families in today's market.
Fortunately, there are hundreds of nonprofits on the frontlines that work tirelessly to prevent homelessness and to provide support for the most vulnerable members of Idaho communities. They need your help, and you have the perfect opportunity to do so with the Avenues for Hope initiative!
Every December, housing nonprofits, school districts, corporate sponsors, and people like you come together for the Avenues for Hope fundraising campaign, with the common goals of building stronger Idaho communities, preventing homelessness, and improving affordable housing options. Last year, this initiative raised $3.4 million to help more than 5,000 Idahoans.
Avenues for Hope is the only statewide fundraiser focused on homelessness. Without it, many of its nonprofit partners wouldn’t have the resources to keep their doors open.
