Northern Virginia Mental Health Foundation

Northern Virginia Mental Health Foundation We provide grants for individuals served by the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board. Here’s where NVMHF steps in.

FUNDING SERVICES
Often people receiving mental health services have additional needs for goods and services for which there is no personal or other funding. The client and his or her clinician can apply for NVMHF funds to help the client reach treatment goals. For example: clients moving into transitional housing and needing a security deposit; clients needing dental work; clients registering for educational and technical courses to improve employability; cleaning out the house of a hoarder; and providing socialization opportunities for residents of a group home. EDUCATING THE PUBLIC
The Foundation, in partnership with local mental health organizations and providers, organizes an annual conference for people with mental health issues and their families, as well as for interested professions and the public.

Giving Tuesday is almost here 💙.

Your support helps individuals in our community suffering with serious mental illness stay stable, supported, and connected. A gift of any amount can provide essentials like gas cards, groceries, or housing help during a crisis.

Every dollar makes a real impact. Thank you for helping restore dignity in our community.

The best part? A portion of every purchase will go directly toward supporting local mental health services.

Let’s make mental health a priority. Feel good and do good.

We can’t wait to see you there!

Today the Northern Virginia Mental Health Foundation would like to recognize Rebecca Knowles - a donor of the foundation and employe of the Fairfax Falls Church Community Service Board. Rebecca has served 25 years with the CSB and is retiring but so graciously requested that donations be made in her honor as opposed to other retirement gifts. We appreciate all the support she’s given us and wish her the best. Use the QR code above to make a donation in her name.

What a difference a year makes! This year, more individuals needed our help with everyday necessities due to their mental health. We’re committed to providing last chance resources for them as they navigate life and provide the tools they need to positively impact their well-being. And you make this possible.

Will you make a year-end gift to NVMHF by December 31 to ensure we are ready to meet the need that’s just around the corner? Link below:
