Our lives are made up of interpersonal relationships, whether it is family, job, sales, and marketing, counseling, management or any areas of life where we rely on rapport, clear communication and common goals. Being able to develop and maintain rapport helps us create common ground for communication. In my workshop “An Introduction to Neuro-Linguisitic Programming” students will learn proven methods and strategies to develop rapport with almost anyone so that the client feels like they are understood, how to create achievable and well-understood goals, and how to deal with and disarm difficult people. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) has a variety of very powerful processes that people can use to achieve balanced and healthy changes in their lives. Changing long held patterns, done the right way, can be a lot easier than you realize. In my trainings and in my private Life and Health Coaching practice I’m often asked to help people change their long help habit of smoking ci******es. This is always exciting because it is one of the easiest habitual patterns for people to free themselves of. I always ask people if, once they are no longer a smoker, they want to have withdrawal symptoms.
Most people are excited to know that they don’t have to have withdrawal symptoms when the quit smoking. As a former smoker, I have to admit that I was surprised and then curious the first time someone said he wanted withdrawal symptoms. Once we explored his very valid reason for wanting withdrawal symptoms, I asked him how long he wanted them for. He decided one year would work for him. I asked him to call me when his withdrawal symptoms disappeared. He called me exactly one year later to report that he woke up that day with out any withdrawal symptoms and with the confidence that he was now a non-smoker.

Healthy tip for cleaning vegetabls to be consumed raw. To help get rid of germs on your fresh produce put a little vinegar in a bowl or sink of water and let them sit it it for a few minutes. Rinse them off well. I like using a salad spinner to dry leafy vegetable like lettuce, kale and even fresh herbs.

Green Porridge:1 cup of alkaline
water, 2 in of cucumber, flesh of 1 avocado, cinnamon
powder, 1 kiwi fruit with skin. Blend until smooth, in a
vitamix at the highest setting to warm.
Serve with freshly ground flax/linseeed (I use a
dedicated coffee grinder) and a little
dessicated coconut. Serves 2. Low Glycemic
Index and Glycemic Load. Lots of vitamins, antioxidents,
phytonutrients, fiber and water.

Even the smallest step, repeated over time can cumulate into a big difference. What if we take many little easy steps on an ongoing basis that would accumulate into a major positive lifestyle change that we would slmost not notice doing? What if we started today? How would that change our futures, our communities and the world over time?

What if we developed a "little voice in our heads" that says "CHOSE LIFE!" every time we make a choice between what is healthy or what is unhealthy for us? We could start by choosing just one habit to focus on to make that shift in focus on today and practice it for a week or a month until it becomes the new habit.

My friend and fellow health coach, Christina Margo says "Every time we say "yes" to something unhealthy we are saying "no" to something healthy." What if we would shift our attention from the unhealthy choice to the healthy choice in all aspects of our lives? What if we were to develop a "little voice in our heads" that says "CHOSE LIFE!" every time we are confronted with making such a choice?

"Get a (water) filter or be the filter" from David Wolfe. I think we could apply this to everything that goes into our body and mind, whether it is conventionally grown food full of insecticides, refined sugars, bad fats, etc. or whether it is a thought or idea that is negative or violent.

Great breakfast this morning: 2 stalks of celery, 1/2 avocado, 1/2 apple, 1 clove garlic, 1/2 cucumber, 1/4 tsp tumeric, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1 tspn corinader, blend everything until smooth and top with 1 tbl spoon of freshly ground flax/linseed.
