Thank you to Blended Spirits Ranch Equine-Assisted Therapy Center for hosting our Equine-Assisted EMDR educational event this evening. Thank you also to Megan Chong, LPC of Tradewinds Counseling for demonstrating how to combine EMDR with Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. It was incredible to see the various ways the horses interact/assist in the process and the therapeutic benefits that come from that.

Thank you to those who participated in the EMDR for Complex Trauma training this evening offered for free by Lake Erie Regional Network of EMDR Therapists. Thank you also to Dr. William Koehler for hosting this training at Journey to a Trauma Informed Life in Erie, PA. It was a good turn out and we look forward to assisting in providing similar training and networking opportunities in the future.

Congratulations to the EMDR Clinicians at Glenbeigh who completed an advanced training in EMDR for Addictions today with Healing Pathways of NWPA! They learned 3 protocols that are specific to treating addiction and include skills in desensitizing cravings, desensitizing triggers, processing feeling states, and building/strengthening internal resources. It was great working with everyone, and I am confident they will continue to do great work as they add these tools to their practice!

EMDR Basic Training in Edinboro, PA starts in one month and there is still time to register! PA Social Workers, LPC's and LMFT's will earn 40 CEUs and will also receive 10 hours of group consultation. Class size is limited to 10 trainees to give students individualized attention and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and practice skills throughout the training!

This course includes the 50 hours of training required to begin providing EMDR therapy. You will increase understanding of the model through lectures, build skills through practicum, and receive consultation as you begin to use EMDR with clients.
