Innovive Health CEO Joseph McDonough was recently featured in McKnight's Home Care, sharing a forward-looking perspective on how 2026 will redefine the role of home healthcare in behavioral health.

In the column, he underscores the urgent need for care models that better serve patients living with serious behavioral health challenges. “Many individuals with serious behavioral health conditions struggle to engage in traditional care settings. Transportation barriers, fragmented care histories and limited continuity often lead to delayed treatment until a crisis occurs.”

The piece explores how providers, payers, and health systems can work together to build more accountable, community-based solutions that improve outcomes while reducing unnecessary hospital utilization.

Our Innovive Health Iowa team is proud to be taking part in this year’s Mental Health Day on the Hill, happening tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11th.

This yearly event, hosted by NAMI Iowa, brings legislative partners, and advocates from around the state for a day of education and inspiration.

Last week, our CEO Joseph McDonough (Tuck MHCDS ‘17) and members of the Innovive Health Care team visited the The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

This has become an annual trip and an incredible opportunity to share real-world experience and insight about our work serving behavioral health patients with students pursuing their Master of Health Care Delivery Science (MHCDS). McDonough spoke about how he founded Innovive Health, offering a firsthand look at the challenges and purpose behind building a mission-driven healthcare organization.

In addition to McDonough, several members of our leadership and clinical team have attended the Tuck School to receive their MHCDS degree – applying those lessons to advance our innovative model of care that supports better outcomes, more successful patients and communities, and a greater emphasis on accountable care.
