New Vision Wilderness After almost 17 years of healing in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, we have made the decision to close New Vision (NVW).

While we are not accepting new enrollments, we will ensure all our current students and families can complete their treatment process. New Vision Wilderness is a nationally recognized outdoor behavioral healthcare and trauma-informed outdoor therapy program in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin that provides preteens, teens and young adults immediate intervention and intensive mental health tre

We had a wonderful time at the NATSAP - National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs conference last week! Please join us in congratulating Karyn on 1 year with New Vision! Karyn is a field instructor on the team that has worked in all of our groups! Her flexability and willingness to help where needed is unmatched. Karyn has brings her own style to her work and helps to make sure that all tasks are completed and that her students and co-staff all have what they need. Karyn is a joy to have on the team and helps to foster a sense of community and belonging to all those around her. Happy Work Anniversary to our amazing Logistics Coordinator- Lucas! Lucas has been with New Vision for a year now and in that time has helped use his passion and experience to help improve some of our buildings! On top of helping to make sure our buildings stay beautiful, Lucas helps to make sure the students have what they need at resupply- which is a huge task! We also want to celebrate our leading lady- Kaci Olson-Sapinski and congratulate her on 9 years with New Vision! As our Executive Director, Kaci works hard to make sure everyone has what they need. From folks on the team to students and families in our program, Kaci is always looking to make sure people are cared for and supported.

Kaci has also been a champion for the Northwoods. Having grown up in the area, she is a strong advocate for the unique opportunities that Wisconsin provides for outdoor behavioral healthcare and the healing powers of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.

Join us in congratulating our Field Director, Lauren, on her SIX year anniversary with New Vision Wilderness! Lauren started as a Field Instructor and quickly moved into management roles where she help train, develop, and mentor other staff members. As Field Director, Lauren now acts as the manager for our Field Team members and makes sure that these individuals are providing quality care to our students and families. Outisde of her duties, Lauren is also an amazing example of our relational model. From having the tough conversations with students about assignments and goals, to agreeing to their requests for her to jump out of canoes to play mermaids, Lauren is always focused on being there and being present for our students! We want to take a moment to wish Barb Lang a happy 2 years with our outdoor programs! Barb began working as an Admissions Counselor and has now begun representing all 3 of our locations (New Vision Wilderness, Deschutes Wilderness Therapy and First Light Wilderness Therapy) as a Director of Clinical Partnerships! Barb's passion for Wilderness Therapy and deep empahty for families allows her to connect with folks on such a deep level! We are incredibly lukcy to have Barb on our team and wish her the best for her years to come!
