This week, Love Kenya Foundation (formerly known as Lee Sisters Foundation) shipped over 2,000 hospital gowns which arrived in Kenya at a critical time. The hospitals in Nandi County are currently preparing for Covid-19 but their resources are extremely limited and the need is dire. The gowns are intended for patient use, however, due to lack of critical supplies, health officials are considering also using them as a protective layer to protect doctors and nurses as they care for ill patients. Of course, in this case, the gowns would need to be properly and carefully sterilized but would allow the health workers to be protected from the spread of infection.
Below, the Governor of Nandi County, Stephen Sang shared a post about the shipment.
Special thanks to Jan Fredrickson, Ruth C Koech and our donors for your backing. Without your support, this would not have been possible.
