Welcome to another addition of Meet FMT Monday!! Today we are thrilled to get to know Brevard's newest intern, Eileen!

Hi, I’m Eileen! I am one of Florida Music Therapy’s interns in Brevard County. I’m from Broward, FL and I studied music therapy at University of Georgia. In my free time I like playing online PC games, reading books, listening to music to pass time, drawing, hanging out with my family and pets, and watching shows/documentaries. I admire how widely music therapy can reach across diverse populations. Understanding both the science and the human connection that music therapy fosters truly showcases its value to the world.

It's time for another Meet FMT Monday!! Today we are highlighting Lee County's newest intern, Chantal! Keep reading to learn more about her...

Hi everyone! My name is Chantal Deshaies and I’m a new intern here at Florida Music Therapy in the Lee County branch. I was born and raised in South Florida and love spending time outdoors. I have two furbabies (a rescue pittie named Diamond and a cat named Spoon) who keep life fun and full of cuddles. I love hearing new music and making playlists that include a variety of genres, instruments and languages to keep it interesting .

What drew me to music therapy is how wide and expansive the uses and impact of music span. I love how Music Therapy honors the uniqueness of each person by meeting them where they are and supporting them on their journey toward maximum wellness.

Fun fact: I can only snap with my right hand.
