Day 1 update:
Today was a good and busy day! If you aren’t familiar with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, it is caused from any type of trauma including a surgery. It causes chronic pain, temperature changes in the foot, and coloration changes. It also causes gastritis so that’s why I have still continue to deal with stomach issues. It has caused heart palpitations and anxiety. This is why it is important to treat the entire body as a whole! This is all because your brain controls everything. Pretty cool how much the brain can do! The goal for this week is to get my brain out of flight or fight mode so that we are able to focus on healing my foot.
We started today with the cold laser which helps break up all the scar tissue in my foot and leg that has been built up. We used a tool called neorhythm that sends waves to the brain. It helps different signals such as pain, relaxation, and sleep. We did different clinical hypnosis sessions (no, I’m not being hypnotized haha). It is to try to relax the body. We also used a PEMF Mat that helps with overall healing and sends signals to the cells to strengthen their ability to regenerate.
Overall, we had a great first day, and we are very hopeful! Please continue to pray for healing for my foot and that Clayton and I will both stay well while we are here! Oh and please pray that we will get our luggage SOON!!! We truly appreciate all the prayers and feel so loved!
Here are some pictures from our 6 hour drive from Wyoming to Idaho and me at the doctor!
