What are Uterine Fibroids?? Uterine Fibroids are non-cancerous growths in or on the uterus.

Bri McMillian is our Lead Office Coordinator. She has been with us since we opened but previously worked with dialysis patients at Fresenius Southaven.

We wanted to take a moment to spotlight our wonderful employees. They do a fabulous job and are what make our practice the best.

Amanda Parks is our registered vascular technologist and ultrasound specialist. She got her degree in Biology from Ole Miss and her degree in diagnostic medical sonography from Itawamba Community College. Before joining Mid-South Vascular Physicians, she worked as Technical Director of the UT Methodist Physicians Vascular Lab. There, Amanda worked with Jennifer O’Dell, one of our current Nurse Practitioners. They have worked together for 11 years! Amanda is a true highlight of our team!

Do you know the difference between Spider Veins and Varicose Veins?

Spider veins are typically smaller, not raised, and just cosmetic. They are caused by damaged small venous structures.

Varicose veins are larger, typically raised, and cause symptoms such as itching, pain, swelling, and ulcers. They are caused by increased pressure in the veins.

Mallory Box has been with Mid-South Vascular Physicians for 3.5 years as a fabulous medical assistant and surgical tech. She received both of her degrees from Concord Career College.

When not at work, Mallory loves to spend time with family at Greers Ferry Lake. She is truly a gem, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our team.

We are so excited to announce Kiyanta Draper has joined our team as one of our amazing nurses! She got her BSN from UMMC and previously worked as a nurse circulator at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North MS and Oxford Urocare.

Kiyanta says she is, “very excited to learn more about vascular health”, and we are very excited to have her on the team!
