there are other factors such as blood sugar, your pulse and temp, your skin elasticity, your tongue, spit, etc etc.

This is so easy to get missed. Especially during the spring when women start their new fad diets in hopes to get their new “beach” body.

You may think you’re eating healthy or doing the right thing... and honestly you probably are taking strides in the right direction but if you are missing the mark on any of these symptoms here is your challenge to dig in a little and not just starve yourself.

Fuel your cells. Fuel your body!
Exercise. Ground yourself and then watch your body flourish.

ever heard someone say well I tried the chiropractor and it didn’t work (fix) for me... or I tried this diet or this exercise and it didn’t work (fix) for me. Or I took that pill or that supplement and I’m still not “fixed”

I just have to take a real deep breath...
here is the thing we need to keep in mind when focused on our health or our healing.

Health is multi faceted... it’s lots of layers.
It’s not ONE thing that makes you a well balanced person.

Healing is multi faceted... it has lots of layers.
It’s not just diet that you need to adjust. It’s not just exercise. It’s not just mineral deficiency. It’s not just toxic relationships.

Disease has lots of layers. It didn’t happen over night and one pill that you have to take for the rest of your life won’t cure you.

Layers takes time, diligence, and patience to work through.

In my opinion two important first steps is to focus on cellular health. Your cells are soooo important but often overlooked.

The next thing I would suggest is breath work and prayer. Being able to manage your stress levels and support your nervous system is huge in healing disease, mental health, and preventing further dis-ease in the body.

You may be asking what we do for cellular support? We love redox cell signaling molecules. This directly impacts our mitochondrial health and helps unhealthy cells begin to detox and become healthy cells!

sometimes it’s so healing to just be silly!

No seriously... think about a lion chasing a gazelle 💨 he pounces the gazelle but then something happens that scares off the lion and he races away. What happens to the gazelle? She begins to SHAKE! Have you ever heard the saying shake it off?!

Our culture sometimes glorifies suppressing emotions and “toughening up” but here’s a news flash for you... emotions hidden never die. They actually manifest into disease and disharmony.

So here’s what we are gonna do today. SHAKE. DANCE! Be silly. Laugh. FEEL emotions. Talk about it with someone.

And if you’re rolling your eye right now thinking is she being real? Yes I am being very real. This is HEALING! This is important to nourish your body.

Mind. Body. Soul.

Maybe you’ve been off the pill for years or maybe you just got on it with no plans to stop anytime soon. Here are some things I wish I would have known sooner.

Do you have unresolved digestive issues or the inability to lose weight? Are you also on the pill or EVER been on the pill? There def is evidence that there is a correlation.

If you haven’t already read my first post abt the pill do that now to understand how it can strip us of important nutrients and minerals. there are studies that it comes in and messes up our gut flora and our estrogen metabolism.

Ladies... gut issues are directly linked to sleep disorders, anxiety, depression, and obviously inflammatory bowel disease! (Plus so much more) this isn’t meant to be doom and gloom by any means it’s more of informed consent AND empowering you with info you may need to get started reversing some of these issues.

A study of 75,000 women who took oral contraceptives were more likely to be diagnosed with leaky gut, ulcerative colitis, and Chrons. There was also a 60% increase in endogenous estrogen and almost 6 times increases in sex-hormone binding globulin.

All this can lead to poor nutrient absorption which can lead to food sensitivities which can lead to a long list of other issues.

Moral of the story work on CELLULAR HEALING! Find what your body needs to be nourished and research what your putting into your body.

Potassium first got on my radar a few years ago when two of my younger sisters in their late teens was hospitalized for low potassium!

Like what the heck... not normal. I mean it may be common but it isn’t “normal”.

Our society is all about “feminism” and women empowerment but really it isn’t... shoving a diet like keto and intermittent fasting down (reproductive years age) women and birth control— is literally setting this group of women up for failure! I digress...

Anywho magnesium and potassium are two important minerals we need to be focused on for optimal health.

Without the proper amount of potassium in the body the cells are not able to respond to the thyroid hormone properly. Insert hormonal issue here...

It also helps nerve signaling in the body think about all the functions we need for optimal function? This can literally affect our bowel movements and digestive functions.

You can ensure you’re getting potassium in your diet by of course eating more fruits and veggies that are high in potassium, real fruit juices, bone broth, and milk!

One of my favorite supplements is shilajit from to help make sure I’m getting all the important minerals in my diet.

there is something so pure about nature’s way—- there is a natural rhythm to everything. something created by design that is so simple and yet we try to over complicate and change.

when we lose our rhythm we really lose our way.

it’s time we plug back into nature.
reset our natural circadian rhythm and even our eating schedule.

did you know digestion is optimal during sun up hours?

did you know a lot of the plants / herbs that are growing right now transitioning into spring are herbs we should be using to support allergies and our liver functions.

nature is here to support us. it’s really that simple.

today’s challenge is to focus on a healthy / optimal circadian rhythm.

Day 1 challenge recap!
Just to name a few common household cleaners that may be in your cleaning cabinet that are toxic and harmful to your health: Clorox bleach, windex, lysol sprays etc.

I’ll be honest with you I use to have every single one of those in mine and even more products that claim to be “natural”
Greenwash anyone?
We plan to talk about that too at the holistic folk!

One of my first thoughts while switching out cleaners in my household was that that bleach and other said cleaners are the only ones that would kill germs and I know there are others of you out there thinking this same thing! I’m here to tell you that’s the farthest from the truth and you have been manipulated into believing this. 🤯😱 Every company is going to try and market their product that it’s “the only one” that does something! It’s called 💰 And no actual interest in your health.
