A beautiful, Custom Shop Martin D-28 on the bench today for a massive binding repair, setup, and some fretwork. I’ve done hundreds of binding repairs over the years, and this is definitely the worst one I’ve ever had to deal with. It’s separated in multiple spots, with some areas coming apart in multiple layers, and it’s going to be sketchy, even with the appropriate amount of heat applied because the wood has shrunk so much. Let’s get the heat gun, binding glue, and binding tape, and get to work!

By the grace of God, most of the city, including myself, still have power! Unfortunately, just to the south of us got hit a little harder, so many are without power in Mississippi. Prayers for all of my friends down there that power will be restored as soon as possible.

Starting my day off with this Chibson Alex Lifeson Les Paul. Doing a fret level, fret ends, and a setup in E flat with Ernie Ball 10-46s. Stay warm, and stay inside, everybody! The streets are really bad!

Knocking some more out today, starting with this brand new PRS CE24 purchased from us at Circle Music Center (congrats again, Tyler)! Setting it up in standard with D’Addario NYXL 11-49s. Also working on a Fender Strat that’s here for a setup and electronics repair.
