In the past, Thanksgiving was not a day I looked forward to. To be honest, life was not always a joyful experience for me. Nevertheless, I found joy in serving others, which brought me a sense of purpose. This is where I learned to be thankful for all days, regardless of whether they were good or bad. If you are struggling with grief, depression, or illnesses, try to find the strength to be a blessing to someone else ( start with just a positive spoken word to someone with a smile). The joy you will receive will be incredible, and for that brief moment, you will shift your focus away from your own troubles. This is where healing begins.
