Caring and commitment come from the heart and result in our residents being treated with the dignity, courtesy and compassion that everyone deserves. Every day we strive to remember that no job is "small" or "unimportant". Attending to details and realizing that a person's need for compassion and dignity does not lessen with age or infirmity is key to the level of compassionate care that we provide. Celebrating Clinical Success : Thomas Sumlin

Mr. Thomas Sumlin was admitted to skilled therapy services at Christian Care Center of Memphis on March 23rd following an extended hospital stay for cardiac illness. When he arrived, he was not able to ambulate and required maximum assistance in all areas.

Being very motivated, he worked hard to get up daily and work towards his independence both during therapy and outside of his therapy treatments. Mr. Sumlin is returning home tomorrow, he is ambulatory with a roller-walker with unlimited distances and is especially proud of his ability to climb a flight of stairs! We are so proud of Mr. Sumlin’s progress and that he has worked so hard to get back in to the community!
