In Loving Memory of Dr. Cathy Schanzer

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dr. Cathy Schanzer, a truly remarkable woman whose life was a testament to compassion, service, and unwavering dedication to others. Dr. Schanzer was not only a gifted ophthalmologist but a beacon of hope and healing for countless people around the world.

Known for her clinical excellence and tireless work ethic, Dr. Schanzer served patients in the Memphis area with skill, grace, and deep empathy. Beyond her impressive career in ophthalmology, she was a passionate humanitarian. Her mission work in Africa brought the gift of sight to thousands, transforming lives in ways that can never be fully measured. Her commitment to medical outreach was more than charity—it was her calling.

Dr. Schanzer also had a profound impact on the local optometric community. As a mentor, she inspired and guided generations of optometrists, sharing not only her knowledge but also her heart. She believed in lifting others up, and her legacy will continue to live on in the many professionals she trained and encouraged along the way.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, the light she brought into the world continues to shine through the vision she restored, the lives she touched, and the people she inspired.
