We are so pumped!!

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to thank Atlanta Fire Station #15 for all that they do to keep our city safe.

From 12:30 until just after 2:00 pm, something magical happened - no calls were received as we worked on 6 of our local heroes. 😀

While the new guy (no offense, rookie 😉) had to go on a call after completing just one of his feet, we made time to make a big difference and fully completed 5 reflexology sessions without interruption.

This is huge. Fire Station 15 is one of the busiest in Atlanta, and for it to be quiet for a full 90 minutes is almost eerie. That we got to send these gentlemen off to do their duty after being able to fully relax and "lay on the beach" is an honor we won't soon forget.

Thank you for all that you do and for allowing us to give back to those who willingly give all 🥰❤

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲?
Most people find reflexology very relaxing.

Reflexology shouldn't be painful. While you may feel discomfort, be sure to tell the reflexologist. He or she should work within your comfort zone.

Some areas may be tender or sore, and the reflexologist may spend extra time on these points. The soreness should decrease with pressure and time.

If you're ticklish, not to worry. The reflexologist applies firm pressure to the feet.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗜 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱?
Most people feel calm and relaxed after a reflexology session. Occasionally, some people feel nausea, sleepiness, and mood swings.

𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆:
Be sure to give the reflexologist a complete and accurate health history. It's always a good idea to consult your primary care provider before trying anything new, including reflexology.

If you have foot ulcers, recent injury, foot or ankle wounds, gout, or a cardiovascular condition, reflexology may not be appropriate or safe. Reflexology may also not be right for people with diabetes, osteoarthritis (affecting the ankle or foot), circulatory problems, active infections, gallstones, kidney stones, or certain types of cancer.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆:
Although reflexology shouldn't be used as a sole treatment for any condition, it can be a relaxing therapy for your feet with whole-body benefits. Like this page to find a trained reflexologist and check with your health care provider to see if it's right for you.
