Let this be your Sunday night reminder:
You don’t need a perfect week.
You need a soft and present one. 🤍

Save this if you need to come back to it midweek.
Your future self will thank you.

Out of office. Out of routine. Still fully me.

Taking time away from work is part of how I stay good at what I do. Therapy is deeply human work and showing up fully for others means I also have to show up for myself.

So here’s a quick reminder to anyone who needs it: Rest is not a reward for burnout. You don’t have to earn it by being overwhelmed. You’re allowed to pause simply because you’re human.

Here’s to work and life. Productivity and presence. Helping others and taking care of yourself.

Back soon with a little more sun, perspective, and maybe some limoncello.

Rejection hurts.
Whether it's you on the receiving end, or you're watching your child face it, it can hit deep.
Maybe your kid wasn't invited.
Maybe you were left out of a text thread.
Maybe someone close to you pulled away and didn't explain why.
Our nervous system reads rejection like danger. Like something's wrong with us. Like we need to hustle harder to be liked, to be chosen, to belong.
But here's the truth: rejection is not always about your worth.
Sometimes it's about timing. Sometimes it's about the other person's capacity. And sometimes it's just... painful without a clean reason.
If your child is experiencing rejection, you might feel an ache that's even sharper than your own. You can't fix it, but you can sit with them in it. Name it. Normalize it. Remind them that they're still lovable and whole.
If you're the one feeling it? Offer yourself the same.
You're not too much. You're not not enough.
You're a human being with a nervous system that wants connection. That doesn't make you weak, it makes you real.
Have you ever felt this ache? As a parent or just as you?

Weekend Self-Care for a Low-Anxiety
Mondays hit different when you've taken care of you over the weekend. Here are a few small but powerful ways to prep for a calmer, more grounded week:
+ Brain dump before bed. Get all those to-dos out of your head and onto paper.
Pick one thing to reset, Laundry pile? Car clutter? Inbox?
Choose one. Don't overdo it.
Plan your week like a human, not a robot. Build in breaks.
Pad your schedule. You're not a machine.
Move your body gently like A walk, some stretching, or
dancing around while cleaning counts.
Prep something that'll make Monday easier like Breakfast
snacks, or just setting out your clothes.
And remember: doing less is also a form of preparation.
Rest is productive.
Therapy is where we learn to live on purpose, not autopilot. If you're ready to create more calm in your day-to-day, l'd love to help.

“You’re so sensitive.”
“Why do you always interrupt?”
“You never finish anything.”

If you’ve heard these in your relationships and wondered, “Wait… is it me?” you’re not alone.

ADHD (especially in women) often hides behind anxiety, shame, and people-pleasing. It can look like:
• Overexplaining because you’re afraid of being misunderstood
• Zoning out during a convo and feeling guilty later
• Starting 3 emotional conversations at once and forgetting the original point
• Feeling too much for some people and not enough for yourself

Relational therapy helps you untangle the blame and understand your patterns with compassion and curiosity. We look at how your brain works, how you were wired to connect, and how to rewrite those stories so you can show up fully and feel understood.

It’s not about fixing you.
It’s about helping you feel safe to be you.

Ever felt like ADHD was messing with your relationships? Send a DM because you’re not the only one.

Relational therapy isn’t just about who you’re in relationship with, it’s about the relationship you have with you.

How do you speak to yourself when no one’s listening? How do you show up for yourself when things are hard?

Because the way you relate to you sets the tone for everything else.

Therapy can help you rework that inner relationship gently, honestly, and with care.

It’s a beautiful day to process your childhood and get some Vitamin D while you’re at it.

Walk and talk sessions are some of my favorites. Movement helps regulate emotions, nature softens the hard stuff, and somehow it’s just easier to talk when you’re not staring across a couch.

Let’s walk it out. Literally.

It’s May. Mental Health Awareness Month.
And if no one’s said it yet:
Your brain isn’t broken. Your feelings are valid. And healing doesn’t have a deadline.

Let’s talk about it — the anxiety behind the smile, the burnout masked by productivity, the people-pleasing passed off as “easygoing.”

Mental health matters every month, but in May, we make it loud. We make it green. 💚

So:
🟩 Wear green
🟩 Take a break
🟩 Book the therapy session
🟩 Say “no” without a 3-paragraph apology

And check on your strong friends. And your spicy ones.
(We’re not okay just because we’re funny.)

💚 Tell me one thing you’re doing this month for your mental health — big or small.
