How to keep afloat amidst the “busy-ness” of the day.
Some days, I feel like I’m starring in a one-person show called:
“Deadlines, Meetings, and Don’t Forget to Buy Milk.”

If you’re a working professional juggling multiple roles—leader, colleague, parent, partner, friend—you know the feeling. The day’s over before you’ve caught your breath.

Here are a few things I’ve learned (the hard way) about staying sane and effective:

1. **Pick your Top 3.**
Not 10. Not 20. Just 3 priorities for the day. Finish those first.

2. **Guard your time.**
If it’s in my calendar, it’s sacred—whether it’s a strategy meeting or 10 minutes of coffee in silence.

3. **Say “no” without guilt.**
Every “yes” steals time from something else—often from your own well-being.

4. **Automate and delegate.**
If a tool or a teammate can handle it, let them. You don’t need to be the hero for *everything*.

5. **Celebrate the little wins.**
Finished the report? Great. Made it to your kid’s game on time? Even better. Both matter.

Busy doesn’t have to mean burned out. The real goal? Doing the right things well—and giving yourself permission to let the rest wait.
