For a long time, I thought I was hungry all the time.

But when I really paid attention, I realized it wasn’t hunger, it was pacing.

Opening the fridge without thinking.

Reaching for snacks when I was tired, stressed, or just unsettled.

Then I started drinking this blend and the growling that used to show up so often began to quiet. Hence the name.

What I loved most was how grounding it felt. The nettle carried a quiet nourishment, a steadiness that settled that hollow, empty-stomach feeling. Dandelion root brought an earthy bitterness that helped my body recognize when it had enough. Fenugreek gave me the sense of fullness, while hibiscus gave the blend a bright, tart note that cut through lingering cravings. The warming spices brought everything together, helping with digestion and balance.

Over time, with consistency and intention, something shifted.

The cravings softened.

The constant “need to eat” eased.

And in my own experience, it was one supportive part of a larger shift that included exercise, healthier meal choices, consistency and a broader committment to caring for my body. And the gradual weight loss followed.

A to Z Apothecary began for a very simple reason.

I was trying to find natural ways to help my dogs.

When I couldn’t always find what I was looking for, I started learning, experimenting, and creating remedies myself.

What started as helping my own dogs slowly turned into helping myself too, and then sharing what I was learning with others along the way.

Within the last couple of days, I’ve found myself right back where it all started.

These products were made out of necessity and out of love. Mocha Meds was created to bring comfort to my dog, Mocha, after medication for a UTI was hard on her stomach and left her needing something gentler to help her heal. It came from a place of wanting to ease her discomfort and support her when she needed it most.

Lava Doc and Sweet Doc were made for a friend and her dog during a really hard time.

Helping dogs holds a special place in my heart, especially because they can’t tell us where it hurts or what feels wrong.

Watching a friend struggle while trying to support her own dog brought back that same instinct I had in the beginning - to help however I could. Using the knowledge I’ve gained over time, I did what I know how to do best: try to make a pups more comfortable, and hopefully give his mom a little peace of mind along the way.

That’s really what A to Z Apothecary has always been about for me - caring, learning, and sharing what I know when it feels needed most.
