In light of all the medical information being placed before the public from all media venues currently and all the stress this invokes, it is now more important than ever for folks to research their options thoroughly and make the choice that is correct for themself.
I have had several clients who present heightened states of anxiety and some fears regarding the varying medical information and around the interactions with others who are being pushy and judgmental about those who interpret things differently than themselves.
In session work around these anxieties and fears, we have used an effective approach I term the “4 R’s”: Recognition, Restoration, Revitalization and Resiliency. We use this approach in the energy systems of the body to assist in bringing balance to the issues of anxiety and fears, which both stem from behavioral and belief response patterns.
First we develop an energetic pattern to implement when we “Recognize” something stimulating the anxiety or fear response. This could be something like tapping or an exercise that reduces the degree of stress response.
Second, we move into a response for “Restoration” of calmness and peace of mind. This generally will involve restoring the parasympathetic system by various forms that stimulate the Vagus nerve, like meditation, chanting, yoga, exercise, daily energy routines, breath work, dance or engaging in hobbies that disengage us from stressful thought loops.
Third, “Revitalization” arises from our continued use of our Restoration processes. The greater the consistency that we utilize for our restoration, the greater the degree of our revitalization.
Fourth, “Resiliency” occurs in the form of more stable “revitalized” energy systems and emotional responses. The more balanced we become, the more we thrive, so a well balanced biological, emotional and spiritual self is where Resiliency really takes root.
