Our Story
Table Rock Mobile Medicine (Table Rock) started from an idea. Brad Bigford, MSN, APRN, NP-C, CCHP, owner/nurse practitioner (NP) was receiving a lot of calls from friends and family members asking him to go see their sick family members. He’d go over to their house, evaluate the patient and make suggestions. Parents would ask if he could treat them at home instead of having to go into a clinic with a sick child. Brad wondered how many other people would be interested in an urgent care house call service. The response was astounding.
Table Rock opened it’s (truck) doors in April 2016. It started with a small budget but large ambitions. Table Rock’s mission is to increase the people of the Treasure Valley’s access to healthcare. We try to remove all barriers. If the patient doesn’t have health insurance, we offer a 50% self-pay discount. If the patient works long hours, we are open on evenings and weekends. If the patient finds it difficult to load up their children either because they are sick or their children are, they don’t have to worry-we come to them.
Like any new idea, growth was slow in the beginning but as we accepted more insurance companies, the patient population followed. Brad was seeing patients ages 6 months through adulthood all over the Treasure Valley. At the beginning of August 2016, Table Rock was featured on the front page of the Idaho Statesman. The word of mouth still continues to this day from that single article. In May of 2019, Joslyn Dresser, NP joined Table Rock full time to help expand our care of the Treasure Valley.
Table Rock Mobile Medicine continues to find solutions to common problems. People want access to their healthcare providers. We are typically available to chat via Facebook Messenger or text messaging. People can self-schedule online via our Book Now button. We’ve had our ups and downs just like any new business but our future looks strong and hope we can continue to meet the needs of our community.
