Nans88 - Jin Shin Jyutsu

Nans88 - Jin Shin Jyutsu Nans88 - reflecting my aspiration to live life in full expression of who I am ... to play all 88 keys. Sessions are available by appointment.

Often referred to as "needle-less accupuncture", Jin Shin Jyutsu is an art of harmonizing the body's energies through gentle touch. We each have life energy which flows through us -- creating, re-creating, and nurturing us. In perfect harmony, this energy flows freely, without obstacles. However, our attitudes, lifestyle, or injuries can create disharmony in this energy flow. Application of the ar

t of Jin Shin Jyutsu helps to reestablish harmony. In a typical Jin Shin Jyutsu session (usually about an hour in length), the receiver remains clothed and lies face-up on a cushioned surface while the practitioner touches and holds sequences of sites on the body we call "safety energy locks". Jin Shin Jyutsu does not include massage, manipulation of muscles or body tissue, or the use of drugs or any other substances. Self-help classes are also offered.

Something to brighten your day...

I was speaking with a friend in the Northeast the other day and she mentioned that the winter was just getting too long and gray. I shared this story with her and she said it made her feel so much happier. So, it occurred to me that you might like some sunshine, as well.

I have just kicked off a new program at Alaqua Animal refuge, where I have shared Jin Shin Jyutsu for over 13 years now. This idea actually came to me in a dream and now that it is up and kicking it feels like dream come true! Once a month I, along with a handful of wonderful volunteers are taking dogs from the refuge on a “field trip” to a near by senior living facility to spread some joy, while socializing the dogs. Over the months, the residents will learn some simple JSJ to help balance them as well as some holds to share with the pups!
And as if that was not enough fun… I got a phone call from the facility yesterday. I was just tickled when the woman I work with there explained that the residents were still talking about the visit. She went on to tell me that they have a cooking class every couple of weeks. A group of the residents had come to her to ask if they could make dog treats for our next visit. Boy, did I say yes! I will let you know how to peanut butter with oatmeal, pumpkin and bone broth frozen bites go over with the doggie ambassadors!
Now admit it… you are smiling, yes?

The full moon reached peak full brilliance early this morning, December 12th, at 12:12 am. That many 12's makes us wonder - what does it mean? If you Google'd it like I did, you found many thoughts and ideas.

Jin Shin Jyutsu incorporates numerology and has its own meaning of the numbers 1 through 26 which identify the Safety Energy Locks (SELs). SEL 12 means "Not my will but Thy will". It helps us to unify our will with Thy will. I have to say, I've always held a resistance to giving up my will. But, unifying my will with Thy will, that seems softer, more acceptable.

I was still awake shortly after midnight, so pulled a blanket around me and sat outside under that gorgeous full moon. I asked, "What meaning does this moon have for me?" The answer was immediate -- relax into life, let it be, let it flow, enjoy.

To me, that's the same thing. Relaxing into Life, letting it be ... unifying my will with Thy will.

To help yourself relax into life and just be, harmonize your SEL 12s by gently placing your fingertips on either side of the spine in the middle of your neck. Hold for a few minutes, or as long as you like.

I agree. I have witnessed this, and experienced it myself.

Patient this week told me "Jin Shin Jyutsu is energetic psychotherapy". I agree. Jin Shin Jyutsu can harmonize the emotions, current and from the deep past creating clarity, insight and healing. No need to rehash. Just let go. A bit different than Freud.
