This Saturday is the annual Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival at Grace United Methodist Church. It’s always a Fall highlight on our island. Do It For Hunter has been invited to have a booth, so come on by! We will be there with free stickers and bracelets, plus we will have our Purple You Matter t-shirts for a $20 donation! Come on by and say hello!

Happy birthday to Hunter, 23 today. I continually wonder what he would be doing today. Where would he be working, where would he be living, what would he be driving, who would he be dating. What would his life be like? It never gets easier. In some ways life has still stood still. We still have all his stuff, even his phone is still turned on. Yesterday I made a big move and donated his gaming chair. It was a big deal for me. Seriously. But we continue to move forward, trying to make sense out of something that will never make sense. Trying to make something positive out of the worst thing. We hope that what we do makes a difference to at least one family.

For Hunter’s birthday, do a random act of kindness today if you get the chance. Do it for Hunter.

Two reminders today that our message is spreading.

Every Sunday morning I watch the sunrise at the beach and write “You Matter” in the sand to share the message. This morning after writing it, I walked to the pier and back. When I returned, I noticed that someone had added a heart and 988. That really made my day!

And tonight I was behind a car with our sticker. I love to see that our message is riding the waves and being shared.

Our hearts are full.
Today was a day of smiles, love, and meaning. This was our biggest event to date, approximately 300 people, young and not so young. Soooo many thank you’s! Space Coast Jeep Club Dixie Cruisers Car Club thanks for spending part of your day with us! All the schools who came, thank you! Encore Performance Company amazing! (Love the purple!) Edgewood performers were amazing along with Lewis Carroll! Thanks to all the resource organizations who helped many people find the help they may need. Big Don's BBQ Kona Ice and Big Squeeze Lemonade & Tea kept everyone hydrated with yummy treats and food. And thanks Sandy Roots Photography for being or official photographer! Pro photos to come! Cant wait to share!

We think the Mustang Mile was a success. We hope you had fun! Let us know. How’d ya like those medals?

We cannot thank all the student volunteers enough. ROTC, SGA, cross Country and Florida Tech Softball girls! Out Board has worked so hard to make this the best You Matter Day and we are all currently sitting with our feet up and popping Advil.

Dixie Cruisers and Space Coast Jeep Club will be there. Music, games, dunk tank, Big Don's BBQ Big Squeeze Lemonade & Tea and Kona Ice.

Thanks to Coastal Inflatables and DJ Tony and BIFYm, Lickity Split Signs, Merritt Island Now, and so many more for helping us.

Stop and check in at the check- in tent and get your passport card then hit the booths to enjoy great activities and resources. Get your card stamped at each booth, then go back to the tent to get your tickets. We have 23 amazing baskets and items to win thanks to our donors and sponsors. And thank you to our volunteers! Our island is AWESOME!

Thank you to all our volunteers who have been putting out signs last night and today! It makes my heart happy driving around our island and seeing all the positive messages!
