Happy Sonday and Happy Easter to you all.
Every Sunday morning I watch the sunrise from the beach and I usually post each Sunday morning on my personal page about my “Sonday Sonrise”, finding feathers and messages from him in small ways, but not on this page. I’ll share today since it’s Easter.

Today during sunrise mass on the beach (our longtime family Easter tradition) I left my chair to get some pics of the sunrise and to do some beach writing. I wrote You Matter in the sand and a cross underneath. My granddaughter Tink came up behind me and added Hunter’s name, but used the cross as the letter “T”. I didn’t know what she was doing at first then it all made sense.
Perfect sense. ✝️💜

It was so great to be able to speak to the senior class of MIHS today. I reminded them that Hunter sat right there in the same seats that they were sitting in, hearing the same information about prom, grad bash, senior breakfast and graduation…And a few months later he was gone. Gone because he didnt have the tools to get through a panic attack.

They each walked away with a toolbox with actual tools to help handle stress and anxiety.

I love that Merritt Island High invites us back each year to provide this talk, and the toolboxes to the graduating seniors.

Our goal is to save a life, just one.

If you think Do It For Hunter is only in Brevard, think again! In the small but strong community of Fairchild Wisconsin, there are two benches at a local lake restaurant. This community does a lot of fundraising for many community events and charities. They didn’t raise money for just these two benches, but several more benches for the local schools. Today while celebrating my in-law’s 50th anniversary celebration, we got to visit the benches. Not surprised to find a feather at my feet while we were there.

So exciting!
We just got our shipment of not ONE, not TWO, not THREE but FIVE new su***de awareness benches! YAAAAAAYYYY!

These will be assembled and are headed to 5 local high schools soon! We can’t wait to get them in place!

It was great to meet Kyndal Ray Edwards tonight in Cocoa Beach and hear his story. He has walked/ran almost 10,000 miles across America hitting the 4 corners of the USA as a way of spreading the You Matter message. He shared with us that he has had very troubled times in his life and attempted su***de at least once. He shared that this past week has been hard on him in many ways. But his smile tonight showed a young man who has something special in him. We exchanged You Matter bracelets and I gave him a picture of Hunter to carry with him. So glad I got to meet him on his journey! Way to go Kyndal! Go do good stuff, have fun and stay positive.

It was a GREAT day at the Brevard Government Center today in Viera for their employee health day. We met so many amazing people and shared what we do and passed out bracelets and stickers and 988 information. Yesterday we shared our information with the Brevard Public Schools counselors. Thanks to Shane Carson and Ginny Weibrecht Gleason for teaming up with me to talk with all the people. Tomorrow we head to the Titusville Government Complex on S. Street for their health Day. See you there!

Coming up next week, we have a busy three days of supporting our communities!
On Tuesday the 17th come visit us at the Brevard Public Schools Community Resource Fair at the Adult and Community Education Center on Clearlake Rd. in Cocoa, 8 am-12:30pm.

Wednesday the 18th we will be at the Brevard
County Health and Wellness fair at the govt complex in Viera and then on Thursday at the government complex on South St. in Titusville.

What a great night tonight at Lacrosse You Matter Night at Merritt Island High. MI and Cocoa Beach High came together as one team on the 50 Yard Line to show support of what we do and to unite on youth mental health. We provided purple You Matter sweatbands for all the players on both teams. Hunter played lacrosse (and football) on that field, so it’s a special place for us. Thank you MI Lacrosse for doing this each year not just for us but for all the players to remind them they all matter.
