Today was a special day at Walnut Hills Elementary in Michigan. Our board member Teresa Nord (and my very first friend and best friend since Kindergarten!) teaches there. She and her Bloom girls along with many others helped spread the You Matter message to the whole school. Her Bloom girls (4th and 5th graders) read to the littles, they shared popcorn, and everyone enjoyed special messages throughout the day. Do It For Hunter is helping more than just around the island, it’s getting shared far beyond to many people. Thank you Teresa Nord and Walnut Hills Elementary for sharing the message. YOU MATTER!

Ty’s senior project culminated today with placing his handmade bench at Edgewood Jr/Sr High School . We were honored to be invited for the big event! He’s an amazing kid and has so much ahead of him. Great job Ty! Best part was hearing the story of how it caught on fire! SERIOUSLY! Lasers and wood don’t make a good combination. LOL!

Thank you Brevard Public Schools (official) for recognizing May as Mental Health Awareness Month and inviting Do It For Hunter to receive the official proclamation at tonight’s School Board Meeting. We are small but mighty! Thank you Hannah Haskins Kimberly Ordonez Shane Carson for being there to represent. It was so great to talk with the School Board members afterwards and know they support us 1000% . Plus we got to visit the newest bench at the school board building! YAY!

Back Brevard Heroes does so much for our local police, fire and rescue super heroe, but this is for the whole community! It’s a great chance to thank a hero plus have an amazing time! They work and fundraise all year to give back at this event. See you there! (I’ll be representing Launch CU. Visit me in the Orange Launch CU tent! Come play putt putt with me!

Thank you Heather for representing Do It For Hunter at the Su***de Awareness Convoy in Manitowoc Wisconsin today! Heather is a Board member and family devoting her Saturday to supporting our message and the community in su***de awareness and prevention. What a great event that Denise Warner puts on each year. We were lucky to be there last year & had a great time, meeting people who shared our grief and our goal.

Our You Matter message and the work we do to save a life goes far beyond Brevard. Our Board member and friend who is more like family Teresa Nord up in Michigan works as a teacher. She also volunteers as a BLOOM leader, teaching 5th grade girls how to respect and feel good about themselves, how to treat others, how to make it through the tough years. Yesterday she and her BLOOM girls assembled toolkits for the seniors at their local high school, same as we did here. We sent up all the supplies and they went to town! Our message is SPREADING! Thank you BLOOM from Florida!

Easter blessings to you all, and happy Sonday from our family to yours. We take this family photo every year after sunrise mass in Cocoa Beach. It’s my kid’s favorite holiday. Probably because afterwards we gather at my sister’s house for a massive brunch where everyone brings something to share; carb overload then Easter naps.
Hunter left me a feather. He was here. He’s always here.
