Happy Aloha Monday! I had a lovely visit at the Health Care Center on Easter. I visited with my regular patients/residents and met so many families! Miss Shannon gave me a special Easter gift when I visited with her mom...a pack of HUGE blueberries! (I may have drooled a little when demonstrating my love for the delicious round blue fruit!). I had a very special connection with a young couple in the lobby who requested a hospice visit for their dad. They told me the room number and I knew I had to spend time with them...it was the same room that my Human Dad had been in, almost a year ago to the day! I talked with the hospice nurses and they were so appreciative that I would agree to spend time with this family. HuMom share the similarity and they even took a picture of their dad's hand and my paw together (similar to my last picture with my dad). HuMom and I left the Health Care Center so full of gratitude for the lives that touch our hearts. We hope your Easter was blessed! ❤ ~Mano 🦈

Happy Aloha Monday! Yesterday was a quiet visit to the Health Care Center. Our beloved resident, Miss Peggy, journeyed to the Rainbow Bridge last week, surrounded by her loving family. I have visited with Miss Peggy during my entire career and my Angel brother, Duke, visited with her before me. She was a wonderful lady, always gentle and kind, impeccably dressed and she always shared wonderful stories of her country childhood in Arkansas. We will miss her terribly and will carry her in our hearts always. Our most heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with her family. ❤ ~ Mano 🦈

Happy Aloha Wednesday! Today we are all honoring our Dad on his birthday! We know that he is surrounded by our Angel pack members and they are surfing the waves in Heaven today! He was our greatest supporter and cheerleader and loved us all endlessly! Hau'oli lā hānau!!!

Happy Aloha Saturday! Wednesday evening, I had the honor of taking HuMom to the Pets on Wheels of Scottsdale Annual Awards and Recognition Meeting. There were dozens of other therapy dogs with their handlers and not a single growl or bark. The buffet was beautiful and included my favorite blueberries!!! HuMom received an Evaluator pin, a 10-year pin and a 350-visit pin (handmade by Mr. Shawn, our president). She was also honored to receive the President's Award for being my driver and leash holder! She even cried ugly happy tears, and I had to comfort her in front of all our friends! Our beloved angel Duke was also inducted into the Pets on Wheels Hall of Fame! Special congratulations to our shining north star, Miss Diane on receiving the Peggy Eischen Memorial Award! We are so privileged to belong to this organization and always awed by the level of compassion and commitment our members have to our community! Mahalo to the Board of Directors for an amazing night! ❤ ~Mano🦈

Happy Aloha Tuesday! Sunday afternoons at the Health Care Center are my favorite. I have the honor of spending time with patients, staff, residents and families. They are my ohana ~ my extended family. Sometimes we talk, often we are silent, we hold paws/hands, we laugh and once in a while, we share tears. I participate in their activities and stand in support as families are saying their final goodbyes. I appreciate being a part of their journey, as they are of mine.

As 2026 approaches, be gentle with yourself and those around you!

Our hearts are broken hearing about the passing of our dear furiend, Teddy the Spaz Man. No doubt that he was greeted at the Rainbow Bridge by his BFFs - Mama Kitty, Roxie and Yogi. 🌈 We know our human Dad was there to greet him too, as he adored Teddy, his antics and posts about Mr. Johnson. Teddy had a BIG and comedic life after being adopted by an incredible family. We hope they know that our paws are wrapped tightly around them. Romp In Paradise, Teddy! Happy Aloha Thursday! Yesterday I had the honor of joining my fellow Pets on Wheels of Scottsdale therapy dogs for a de-stress event at Scottsdale Community College. Some students were finishing final exams and some were on their way to the library to study for their last test. Hopefully, we were able to help them juggle the demands off classes, jobs, holidays and social situations. ❤ ~Mano 🦈

Happy Aloha Monday! My visit to the Health Care Center yesterday was full of holiday cheer. The Christmas trees are up in the lobby and the various common areas. Some of the residents have even decorated their rooms.🎄When I visited with Miss Marilyn, I was VERY interested in her beanie babies but was not thrilled when HuMom told me to leave them under her tree! BOL! ❤ ~Mano 🦈

Happy Aloha Monday! Yesterday during my visit to the Health Care Center, a lovely group of young ladies (4-12 yo) arrived to perform Christmas carols for the 3rd floor. As the residents, staff, family members and patients were all gathered together in the dining hall, I had a wonderful opportunity to visit with everyone! As the young ladies took turns performing, a few of them took their "off stage" time to spend with me. They each held a paw as they asked HuMom questions about me. They were the sweetest, gentlest, most considerate young ladies and I so enjoyed my time with them! ❤ ~Mano 🦈
