It's CPR and AED Awareness week!

FACT: Eighty-eight percent of cardiac arrests occur at home.
Statistically speaking, if called on to administer CPR in an emergency, the life you save is likely to be a loved one: a child, a spouse, a parent or a friend.

It's better to know how to perform CPR and never use it, rather than being unprepared in an emergency.

A 14 year old girl was saved at a MLB game this week in Kansas City! She collapsed and CPR was performed by an employee who happened to be nearby.

On Wednesday, the life of a high school student was saved when a teacher performed CPR on her after she suddenly collapsed. It just goes to show that sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) can strike anyone of any age, anywhere and at any time. SCA knows no boundaries!

Another wonderful survival story! This time a Vietnam Vet was saved by a bystander who jumped in and performed CPR until help arrived. This is a skill you don't want to have to use, but definitely a skill you want to have! We'd love to have you in one of our classes and it only takes a couple of hours to learn this life-saving skill.
