Its called The Living Inspired Hive! It was created to provide meaningful opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities right here in Arizona. Every donation we receive goes directly into programs that make a lasting impact—whether it’s supporting our day programs, funding community outings like the zoo or bowling, offering creative workshops in art and music, providing scholarships for families in need, or building employment training opportunities through our thrift shop.

On Thursday, August 7, we’ll be joined by Janna Murrell of Encircle Families (formerly Raising Special Kids) to discuss Turning 18, Legal Options to Consider.

Learn about the legal options available for families of children with disabilities when their child turns 18 and becomes an adult. Discover how parents can remain involved in decision-making with schools, doctors, and other professionals, including options such as supported decision-making, power of attorney, and guardianship. Other topics covered include registering for the selective service and applying for Social Security benefits.

Make a Splash with Adaptive Swim Lessons!

Thanks to a generous donation from SRP, DSNetwork has partnered with KinectAbility Athletics and Big Blue Swim School in Gilbert to offer deeply discounted one-on-one adaptive swim lessons for individuals with Down syndrome.

Each 30-minute lesson is regularly $65, but through this special opportunity, families can purchase a 5-lesson package for just $100 total.

These personalized lessons are designed to build swim skills, water safety, and confidence in a supportive environment.

*As you know with limited state funding oftentimes its difficult to get our day programs out there for additional outings and we are here to fill the gap for that, and also to include members that dont qualify for DDD!*
