Dr. Martinez is Board Certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology, is also Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology at LSU School of Medicine, and has published numerous scientific articles in medical journals and textbooks. The American Academy of Dermatology has bestowed its highest honor for a volunteer in the Leadership Circle for Volunteerism by awarding its "Members Making a Difference Award" to Dr. Martinez. Dr. Martinez received the Louisiana State Medical Society's Continuing Medical Education Award for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of continuing medical education in Louisiana.

For the first time since 1986 Dr. Martinez has left the building… what an amazing journey we’ve had. Thank you to our staff, patients, family and friends who have supported us over the years we are so very grateful. Thank you to for giving us such a strong foundation to thrive in.
Onward to retirement… time to go fishing 🎣
