We wanted to take a special moment to shine the spotlight on Dr. Peter Lu, especially after celebrating his incredible work at our 50th anniversary party!⭐

Dr. Lu has been a cornerstone of The Fertility Institute, a First Fertility practice, bringing his expertise as a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Fertility Specialist to our New Orleans and Mandeville clinics.

Since beginning his practice in 1996, he has dedicated his career to helping families grow through advanced treatments like IVF, ICSI, and fertility preservation.

His commitment to building trust, explaining complex solutions clearly, and supporting the emotional well-being of his patients is why he has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 2024, 2025, and 2026.

We are also deeply grateful for the incredible team that makes this practice feel so supportive and special every single day. Dr. Warren “Jay” Huber, whose leadership and dedication set the tone for the entire practice, along with the compassionate care and expertise of Dr. Ronald Clisham, Dr. Stacey Scheib, Dr. Nicole Ulrich, and Erin Cheneval, FNP.

And we are deeply honored to carry forward the legacy of our founder, Dr. Richard Dickey.

His vision to make specialized fertility care accessible to our community is the foundation we continue to build upon 50 years later.💛

This Period Poverty Awareness Week, we are proud to support our community by collecting period products for those in need. 🩷

Menstrual products are essential — yet many individuals struggle to access them each month. Join us in helping make a difference by donating pads, tampons, liners, and other menstrual hygiene products.

Donations can be dropped off at our office during regular business hours.

Together, we can help break the stigma surrounding periods and support dignity, health, and access for all.

Do you have a story about how a nurse made a difference during your family building journey? Tell us about it!

The role of a fertility nurse extends into nearly every corner of your treatment experience.

They are the ones who teach you how to give yourself injections, monitor your body's response to medications, and call you with the updates you have been waiting all day to hear.

They coordinate your care across multiple providers, keep your treatment on schedule, and make sure you always know what comes next.

When the emotional weight of the journey becomes heavy, they offer reassurance and perspective.

They are clinicians, coordinators, communicators, and caregivers all at once, and the impact they make is lasting.

This Nurse Appreciation Week, we are shining a spotlight on the incredible nurses who bring hope and healing to our patients every day.

Share your story in the comments and help us celebrate the nurses who made a difference. ⭐

We know this day can be complicated.

If you’re still waiting, still grieving, or carrying a hope that hasn’t yet been realized, Mother’s Day can feel heavy in ways others may not fully understand.

Your strength isn’t just in pushing forward—it’s in showing up, again and again, even when it’s hard.

You are allowed to feel everything that comes up today. And you are allowed to take care of yourself in whatever way feels right.

✨ The care you give yourself today matters—for where you are, and for where you’re going.

Next Mother’s Day may feel different.

If today feels overwhelming, you might try:
• Placing a hand on your heart and taking a few slow breaths
• Asking yourself gently: what do I need right now?
• Spending a few quiet minutes reconnecting with your body
• Writing down one thing you’re hoping for
• Trusting that caring for yourself today is part of your journey forward

We see you. We’re holding space for you today and always. 🤍

50 Years Deserves a Party Like This

The Fertility Institute (FINO), a First Fertility practice 🦞

Good food. Big laughs. A team that knows how to celebrate—because they’ve spent decades doing something that truly matters.

With Drs. Peter Lu, Stacey Scheib, Ronald Clisham, Nicole Ulrich, and Jay Huber (Medical Director) leading the way, this night was about the people behind the work—and the joy they bring to it.

Every day, this team shows up to support people through their fertility journeys and help build families. And nights like this? They remind us that the connection behind the scenes is just as real as the impact we see.

Because when you love what you do—and who you do it with—it shows.

This is 50 years of helping families grow… and still making time to celebrate along the way. 💛

Today is National Nurses Day—and the start of Nurses Week.

This year, we honor The Power of Nurses.

At The Fertility Institute (FINO), a First Fertility practice, some moments in fertility care can’t be rushed.

Waiting for results.
Sitting with uncertainty.
Trying to process what comes next.

And often, your fertility nurse is right there with you.

Not filling the silence.
Not hurrying the moment.
Just staying.

The power of fertility nurses is in that presence—in knowing when to speak, and when to simply be there.

💙 This week, we celebrate the fertility nurses who hold space when it matters most.

Tell us their name. Tag them. And share one thing they did that stayed with you.

This is what 50 years of commitment looks like.

Honoring and celebrating Adele, Beanie, Darlene, Diane, Dr. Lu, Kim, Lisa, and Wendi—

From across departments and roles, these remarkable individuals were recognized at The Fertility Insitute,(FINO’s) 50th anniversary celebration, not just for their years, but for the impact behind them.

With 15+ years (and for many, decades) of service, their longevity is proof positive of what defines The Fertility Institute: dedication that doesn’t waver, professionalism that earns trust, and compassion that supports people through their fertility journeys and family-building stories.

Look at those smiles—these awards are well earned and deeply deserved.

Think about what 50 years really means… how many babies have been born, how many families have grown, how many lives have been forever changed. From the very first IVF baby born in Louisiana at The Fertility Institute to today, this legacy continues.

For years—many for decades—they have shown up. For people. For each other. For every story that walks through the door.

This isn’t just time served.
This is legacy. 🦞💛
