Weekly tip #6: Meditation and rest. If you can breathe then you can meditate. It is that simple. It doesn’t require you move to Tibet to find a quiet cave, you don’t have to light incense or change your name to Hanuman. All you need to do is for 10 minutes each day sit in silence and breathe. That is it. No magic pills, bells or whistles. Now there are some things you can do to be more successful when you sit and breathe for 10 minutes. For starters, find a distraction free zone. That is probably the hardest thing to do for some, but usually early in the morning before the rest of the family is up could be easier, or in the afternoon when people are at work or at school. The point is finding 10 minutes in the day when you can be alone with out distraction. I like to meditate around 2pm in the backyard while everyone else is at work. No noise, no distraction and no interruptions. Next, put your phone on do not disturb. Find a comfortable place to sit, (you don’t want to be uncomfortable.) You can sit in a chair, on a couch or on a plushy cushion on the floor. No judgment, just get comfy. Weekly tip #4: Lets start moving! Movement is medicine. Take 60 minutes each day to move your body. Take a walk, go for a swim, or take a class. Just find a way to move your body. Movement will improve your mood, make you feel better and make you more enjoyable to be around.Try this workout video out in the comfort of your home: No equipment needed, just your beautiful heart.https://vimeo.com/753112971/00ed6c4c82?share=copy

Weekly wellness tip #3
Create a playlist of positive music. Start your day with some upbeat music that has positive messages in it. For example: Jason Mraz has a bunch of music with positive lyrics. One of his songs is titled: Look for the Good. Create your playlist and fill it with songs that have an upbeat tune to them. Get your day moving and grooving with as much love and light as possible. After I brush my teeth every morning I put on my headphones and I start jamming as I prepare for the day. While I am making my coffee I be jamming, while I am prepping my breakfast and lunch I be jamming and while I am dressing and packing my work bag I be jamming. I be jamming all the way to work. Jah! Weekly Tip #2
Create your attitude for gratitude. Start each day with what you are grateful for. Before getting out of bed, think of three things you are grateful for and say them out loud or in your head before stepping out of your bedroom. This starts your day in a positive light. Then keep this going throughout your day. At a red light take a moment and look around and say out loud what you are grateful for in the that particular moment. For example, I am grateful for A.C. in my car. I am grateful for my health. I am grateful I get to live in Miami. I am grateful I have somewhere to go… ect ect ect. Finish your day with journaling about your gratitude. Write down one thing at the end of your day that you are happy you did and explain why you are grateful for that thing. What you focus on will attract back to you so keep on keeping on. Click on the link below to get more tips on how to infuse gratitude into your day-to-day life. https://youtu.be/r1zF1RR940c
