Many have commented that Kris Jenner was radiant at Jeff Bezos’ wedding — but in moments like this really demonstrate the difference between natural aesthetics and “surgical aesthetics”

While many celebrate the “snatched” look, I see signs of a lateral tension-based lift that neglects core support of the midface. The volume appears displaced, not harmonized. This results in an unnatural sweep rather than a refreshed glow.

This less-retouched photo of Kris Jenner reveals what Dr Maercks discussed in my interview and recent social videos — a perspective that contrasts with much of the public praise.

Here, we can see the effects of superficial facelift techniques like SMASectomy and skin-pull approaches. Notice the distinct “stripes” or bands of tension: areas of extreme pull alongside regions of persistent laxity. Sagging cheeks collapse into a tight, hollow perioral zone, while platysmal bands and neck laxity remain untouched. This imbalance is a hallmark of facelifts that address the surface without restoring true foundational support. She indeed would benefit from a revision with true deep plane support.
