Manual treatment for a pretty bad distal radius fracture with ORIF that developed into a stiff hand ✋.

I’ve been using cocoa butter in my clinic and during the manual therapy course I teach. It’s a staple for soft tissue work and easy on both my hands and my patients’ skin.

Highly recommend if you’re doing a lot of hands-on work.

One of my 1st business books I read was called The E-Myth. I had already started hiring but was really guessing at best.

That book set me off on a journey of developing my business skills because being clincially great wasn't going to help me become a successful business woman. I release 1 business video on Wednesdays on YT and on my podcast.

Just because you can make a splint… doesn’t mean you should.

As occupational therapists, we’re taught that splinting is a cornerstone of what we do, and it is. But true clinical reasoning means knowing when NOT to splint, too.

⚠️ Making a splint just to make one, especially when it serves no purpose or could limit function, isn’t good care.
🤝 Our job is to make solid, intentional recommendations based on the nature of the injury, tissue, or disease process.

I break this all down (with real patient examples) in my mentorship program, where we don’t just talk splints, we talk decision-making behind splints.
