You can wish you were a CHT all you want but that won't get you there.

I'll always remember a supervisor of mine always tell me how he watned to become a CHT but never tried again after failing it once.

You can't become a CHT unless you give yourself a chance. No matter how many times it takes. It's all about if you want it or not. Why place a limit on yourself when you have as many chances as you want to give yourself.

Learn the lessions. Try again.

I'm not here to convince you or squash your excuses. This has to be something in your heart and soul that you want.

I wanted respect, choices, and a path for career growth. I found it through becoming a CHT. Now, it's been a part of my career for almost 20 years.

Showing up and demonstrating interest is such a small gesture that can make the biggest impact.

I talk to a lot of business owners and I myself am experiencing this right now!

Saying you are interested and SHOWING interest…are two wildly different things.

I’m always hiring and my goal is to hire another OT or COTA for my clinic in the next several months, and these are the simple things I’m looking for.

Study using a cadenace helps you to stay organized and gets you through the topics.

I hear from a lot of therapists who say they want the help but do nothing to get the help. Their biggest problem?

Not studying the topics they really need. How many times do you need to fail before you realize it's not about what you LIKE and what you don't LIKE. It's not about you. It's about being hte person who can figure it out no matter if you like it or not.

Stay organized using a systemtic approach and you can make the whole journey easier for yourself.

It's counter intutive to make it easier for yourself...I know but hear me out.

When you take a hard topic and add the details with academic wording, it makes it that much ore overwhleming and hard to understand. Make it simple in order to understand, THEN apply those details.

You'll study better and faster. My book has the frameworks that I teach inside my Exam Prep program. That can help you get started.

You'll find the happiness you are looking for when you work towards the goal that you designed for yourself.

When I was working in acute care, it wasn't that I didn't like it. I liked it enough to be there for 4 years and if that was all I wanted to do, it would have been a great career.

But I wanted more for myself. I had a goal of becoming a CHT.

The work towwards the goal is the journey and the desination. Speaking of journy...I'm headed to ASHT conference in Salt Lakce City next week, so if you are going, let's meet up :)

What are you saying to yourself AFTER you complete your exam?

I run into this a bit when I'm helping students with questions. I often rush through it and catch myselef not reading the question correctly or I pick the wrong answer because I jumped to conclusions that have nothing to do with the actual question.

Catch yourself before so you don't fail the real exam.

What story are you telling yourself?

I told myself I might not be smart enough to become a CHT because I wasn't an A student. I told myself that maybe I couldn't become a CHT because I wasn't good at standardized exams.

My imagination was running wild on all of my possible failures instead of all my successes.

But my history tells a story of how I persistent I am, how smart I am, and how I can make anything possible. Especially as long as I was open to getting the help and support that I needed.

Don't let your limiting stories stop you from achieving your goals of becoming a CHT. Get the help and support you need to surround yourself in the environment of success.

Be honest...did you really study all the topics??

You don't have to tell me. I'm just bringing up the lie that most people say tp themselves that they studied really hard. You might have. But let's face it, you have to get through all the topics.

Did you really study all the topics in a way that helps you feel successful? Most people after they fail, fess up to skipping areas that are not thier favoirte or that they simply ran out of time to study.

Don't let that be you. Study all the topics in a way that helps you figure out any question. Get all the topics simiplifed in a way that makes it easy to understand through The Exam Prep program.
