Not every cake I make hits 100% with a client — and that’s okay! This adorable teddy bear cake was one where my client was about 80% satisfied.

I’m sharing this because it was a learning experience for both of us. Communication is so important when it comes to custom cakes! If you have certain “must-haves” for your design, please share them clearly — before and even after I send final photos. (Yes, I’m one of the few who sends pics ahead of pickup to make sure nothing’s missed!)

On my end, I always pour my heart and creativity into each cake, aiming to bring your vision to life with my own artistic spin. At the end of the day, custom cakes aren’t an exact science — they’re edible art.

And even when things don’t go perfectly, I make sure my clients always receive 100% in customer care. 💕

🎂 Let’s Talk Cake Flavors 🍰

We all love a good birthday celebration—but let’s be real: not every cake flavor is a crowd-pleaser. 👀

When choosing a cake, don’t just go with your personal fave (even if it is that bomb carrot cake 😉). While I happen to make an amazing one, carrot cake is definitely a “love it or leave it” kind of flavor—same goes for chocolate, lemon, or other niche picks.

If you’re hosting and want your guests to actually eat the cake, consider options with broad appeal. Classic flavors like vanilla, red velvet, or cookies & cream tend to go over well with most people.

Pro tip: If you’re set on your favorite flavor, do a tiered cake or cupcakes so everyone wins. 🎉

Because the only thing worse than a dry cake is watching people politely decline your birthday dessert 😅
