🌿 In a world changing at light speed, our internal rhythm must become our anchor
We talk a lot about innovation, speed, optimisation. And yes—all of that has its place. But one thing I’m witnessing across too many workplaces: a quiet hunger for something deeper. Something soft. Something human.
Here’s what I hear + feel:
The brain is being asked to keep up with exponential change—to multitask, pivot, adopt new tools, shift roles, respond to remote/hybrid realities. Yet our nervous system, our emotional self, our inner world doesn’t always get the invitation to move at the same pace.
So what often happens:
We skip lunch.
We skip a pause, a breath, a check-in with how we’re feeling.
We rush from one meeting to another, one decision to the next, and wake up one day wondering: When did I stop caring for myself?
Here’s the nugget I’m offering: Feed yourself small acts of kindness, care and self-love at work. Because these aren’t just “nice to have” extras—they are essential foundations for resilience, clarity and well-being.
What this might look like:
A 2-minute pause between meetings: breathe, check in with your body, ask “How am I here? What do I need right now?”
A conscious choice to send a kind note to a colleague—not because you must, but because you see them.
Accepting that “I’m busy” is not the same as “I’m well”.
Setting a boundary: “I will step away from my screen for lunch today.”
Recognising: when I care for myself, I care from a place of fullness, not depletion.
When we do this, we shift from being reactive to being responsive. We reclaim our human-ness in an environment that often overlooks it.
I’d love to hear from you:
🔸 What’s one small act of care you could give yourself at work this week?
🔸 What’s one act of kindness you could extend to someone else in your team or circle?
Here’s to creating workplaces where speed meets soul, productivity meets presence, and change meets compassion.
