When you first meet someone, they will always present their best self, or the self they wish to be, hoping you'll like them. Of course, no one wants to meet the ugly at the beginning; no one would be interested. So we fall for this person, but unfortunately, it turns out they are not true. We stay in the relationship, hoping they prove us wrong or hope they will change, but they won't. It'll come in waves where it'll feel like it's back to normal, but then something triggers them, and it's again a rollercoaster of emotion. You have to remember that a partner should never call you out of your name, put their hands on you, or throw things at you. The person you met in the beginning was only a hook to reel you in. Don't blame yourself for believing them. They are very good at disguising who they are.
