Why Do We Use EEG in Our eTMS Program?
At eTMS Florida, we take a personalized, data-driven approach to mental wellness and brain health. That’s why an EEG (electroencephalogram) is a crucial first step in our eTMS (enhanced Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatment process.
What does an EEG do?
An EEG measures brainwave activity, giving us a real-time map of brain function. Unlike traditional methods that rely on symptom-based assessments alone, EEG allows us to:
✔ Identify Dysregulated Brain Activity – Many mental health conditions, including depression, PTSD, and anxiety, are linked to irregular brainwave patterns. EEG helps us pinpoint these areas.
✔ Personalize Treatment – By analyzing each patient’s unique brainwave patterns, we can customize eTMS therapy for optimal effectiveness, targeting the precise regions that need stimulation.
✔ Track Progress – EEG isn’t just for initial assessment; we also use it to monitor changes over time, ensuring the treatment is working and making adjustments as needed.
This objective, neuroscience-backed approach is what sets eTMS apart from standard TMS therapy. Our goal is simple: to deliver the most effective, personalized treatment to help our patients achieve lasting mental wellness.
