As I sit in front of the Christmas tree my oldest son, Ethan, and I decorated the night before, I think back over the years of him growing up and all the trees we have decorated. My heart is full! Spending this last week with him in our home again was all I wanted as a mom, treasured moments shared with my children, close friends and family. And although, I spent this morning helping Ethan pack his suitcase again and gave him the biggest hug at the airport as he headed back to colllege, I left with happy tears knowing we will be back together soon and for me that’s enough❤️.
I am so grateful to be on this wonderful journey of life with all of my d. pediatrics families. Seeing pictures of you with your families during this special time in your lives brings a smile to my face, hugs to all of your children!!

Dad, you’ve sailed the world, watched more baseball games than I can count, been instinctively soft and tough when needed, laughed your way through life’s obstacles and most important you’ve loved your children and grandchildren with all your heart! Love you more dad!!

She’s my superhero! She’s loved her babies and her babies’ babies with all her heart. She’s showed compassion to those in need. She’s soft, gentle, kind and tough as nails when she needs to be. She’s fun and pretty and knows how to make the best with what she has. She’s creative and crafty and is a giver in every sense of the word. And when times are hard, she picks up the pieces and makes us whole again. I am blessed to call my superhero “ mom”. Love you mom!!

It is all the little and big moments as a mom that fill my heart. This was a big moment… senior night Ethan took the mound at Columbus for the last time and was the winning pitcher of the game. To my children, Ethan, Jack and Ally, may you continue to shine. I love you dearly. To my mom, thank you for being the source of love and comfort. And to my d. pediatrics mom’s, thank you for letting me be a part of your journey. Happy Mother’s Day!

We are over the moon to announce that Dr. Moira E. Breslin will now be seeing patients in our office. Dr. Breslin is a Board-certified allergist and pediatrician. She attended Brown University where she received her undergraduate degree and Harvard School of Public Health where she received her masters. She completed her medical degree and residency training at Duke University School of Medicine and her Fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at UCLA. Following training she was a postdoctoral fellow with the UNC Food Allergy Initiative under the mentorship of renowned Dr. Wesley Burks, with whom she had also spent her research year in medical school performing cytokine studies of food allergic patients. She went on to join the faculty at Duke University as an allergist. Dr. Breslin was born and raised in Miami and speaks fluent Spanish. She is accepting new allergy patients of all ages.
