We offer services based on a sliding fee scale to ensure that we serve members of the community regardless of the ability/ inability to pay. For more than 15 years, Empower U exclusively provided services to people living with and at risk for HIV/AIDS. During that time, EU gained a reputation for engaging and connecting to care Miami's most disenfranchised populations. In November 2013, EU became
federally qualified health center (FQHC), expanding its comprehensive services to populations affected by all chronic illnesses. As a community health center (CHC), EU now provides primary care to Liberty City residents, regardless of their ability to pay. Other services provided include health insurance application assistance, benefits eligibility screening, mental health counseling, and outpatient substance abuse groups. We also continue to provide HIV/AIDS outreach, testing, housing, and prevention/education services, as well.
