I’ll be real with you…

In my 30s, I was overweight, dealing with chronic issues, low energy, and I didn’t feel like myself anymore.

I kept saying I’d start “soon.” Then the pandemic hit and I finally stopped lying to myself.

No magic plan. No shortcuts.
Just showing up… over and over again.

That led to a 100 pound weight loss.

But the real win?
Discipline. Confidence. Energy. A whole different standard for my life.

That’s what I help people build now.

Not extreme.
Not perfect.
Just consistent and real.

Carbs aren’t the enemy… but social media nutrition advice might be.

I still see coaches acting like eating something like Halo Top once in a while is going to ruin someone’s progress. As if a bowl of ice cream is the reason people struggle with fat loss.

Let’s be real.

Fat loss comes down to consistent habits and calorie balance over time — not whether someone had a treat on a Saturday night.

Carbs fuel training.
Carbs help recovery.
Carbs support performance.

If someone is lifting, training hard, eating mostly whole foods, and staying consistent, an occasional treat isn’t the problem.

The real problem is teaching people that food is “good” or “bad,” which usually leads to guilt, binge cycles, and people quitting altogether.

The people who succeed long term don’t eat perfectly.

They eat consistently.

They prioritize protein.
They train hard.
They eat mostly whole foods.

And sometimes they have a bowl of ice cream… and still make progress.

The goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is sustainability.
