✨ Many mental health symptoms can be influenced by underlying deficiencies that often go untested and untreated. ✨
As a Mental Health Provider, one thing I see often: people struggling with anxiety, depression, brain fog, or fatigue… and no one has looked deeper at what’s going on in their body.
Some common contributors that aren’t always included in standard labs:
• Vitamin D deficiency → low mood, fatigue
• Low iron (early indications, even without anemia) → anxiety, poor focus
• Elevated CRP (inflammation) → depression, brain fog
This is why I take a whole-person approach and order comprehensive labs for all new patients—so we can understand the root cause, not just treat symptoms.
In some cases, we’re able to avoid medication and use targeted supplementation and lifestyle changes.
However, I’m always honest when medication is needed—it can be life-saving and essential for some individuals and diagnoses.
⚠️ Taking random supplements can be expensive and ineffective. Projections suggest that the supplement industry will exceed $200 billion globally by 2026, yet mental health (as well as overall health) continues to decline.
I focus on testing, not guessing.
