Let’s try this again :)!!
I LOVE all the questions regarding the best food for fertility.
There is so much evidence, and it is growing daily, that nutrition plays a huge role in fertility and a healthy pregnancy.
The main takeaways are:
- Eat nutrient-dense foods with plenty of vitamins and minerals
- Increase antioxidant intake
- The foods you eat 6 months prior to conception are important determinants of your health during pregnancy, and your baby’s health!
Preconception is so important and is when you should build up your nutrient reserves, support your egg health, and set the stage for a healthy pregnancy and baby.
Truth be told, my first pregnancy was when I was 22, it was unexpected, and it was, by far, my most difficult pregnancy for both me and my baby. I will share that story sometime soon, but know that not only is the science there to confirm the importance of the preconception time, personal stories further back it up!
