Affinity Hospice really knows how to party! 🎉🍦 They treated our residents to an amazing ice cream social filled with music, laughter, and so much energy. What a sweet way to spend the afternoon! 💚

A big thank you to the Cloverhill Baptist Church youth volunteers who visited today! 🙏🌱 They shared a heartfelt worship service with our residents and then rolled up their sleeves to help our Horticulture Club keep up with the bird sanctuary, filling feeders and watering the garden. 🐦💚

We had a wonderful visit with Executive Home Care who joined our men for a handyman puzzle program. Everyone was fully concentrated on building whatever was in front of them. These puzzles are such a meaningful activity, they help strengthen muscle memory while reconnecting with the kinds of hands-on projects our men have always loved to do. 🧩🔧

We had such a groovy time preparing for our upcoming Family Day Disco. Multiple teams, including Welcome Home Care and Fox Rehab, joined us outdoors to help residents make tie-dye shirts. 🕺💃 It was an afternoon of crafts, as we got ready to boogie on down together!

Our Culinary Club is back at it again! This time, we prepared beet deviled eggs. Some of our residents enjoyed rolling up their sleeves to cook, while others preferred to sit back and watch the process unfold. We all came together at happy hour to taste our creations with a round of drinks. 🥂

Together, we made fresh smoked salmon 🐟 with edible flower 🌸 dill butter, served on warm, buttery yeast rolls 🥖 during happy hour 🍹, a delicious treat for all ages. Each resident is unique and so are their needs. When it comes to meals, our menu items are carefully prepared with consideration of a resident’s likes, skills and capabilities. We ensure modifications are made to maintain a person’s independence as long as possible. When forks and knives are no longer working, finger foods are prepared to help maintain a sense of dignity.
