The intestinal lining is made up of billions of bacteria, both good and bad. Probiotics are supplements which contain “good” bacteria and when consumed add beneficial bacteria to the intestines. We developed a probiotic that produces lactase and may stay in the intestines for up to several months. In a small clinical study, when lactose sensitive people consumed this probiotic for 7 days, lactase was produced by the probiotic and this allowed the lactose to be broken down and digested for several months. They did not experience the issues they normally would have had after drinking milk.
