There’s something special about an old-fashioned loaf of dark bread… the kind that fills the kitchen with warmth and makes you cut “just one more slice.” 🤎🍞

This weekend at the market, I was testing the waters with a small batch of my handcrafted Olde World Brown Bread (4) and Olde World Cinnamon Swirl Brown Bread (6)— made the slow, cozy way, just like generations before us.

Soft inside, rich molasses, perfect with Cinnamon butter, soups, stews, or simply warm from the bag.
A nostalgic Bread to bring back Olde time memories...

I only made a few small loaves this round to see what everyone thinks… and honestly? My kitchen had the warm, welcome home aroma just like my grandma’s house. 🥰

These were a hit, so they may become a regular part of the Breathe Easy Homestead market table.
I sold all but 2 small loaves! And with foot traffic at the Polo Farmer's Market on Saturday being slower than usual, I was pleased with the outcome overall!

Forty-two years ago, I helped my father-in-law Frank Hutchison plant a row of white pines here on this land. And we planted a few more around the property.
Today, we live in the home where he grew up as a boy… and those tiny saplings are now towering trees.
This season, we’re gently harvesting from them — honoring the roots, the soil, and the man who planted them.
This isn’t just white pine tea. You can breathe this tea and feel the pine essence. It's totally natural, with the trees sharing it's gifts with us.
